This seems like a perfect use case? Static articles, posted once each, commonly viewed, already popular?
You need to ask them, if they want to migrate their website to the IPFS. If not we’re out of luck, because Snopes is copyrighted, so we can’t just duplicate the site or its contents ourselves. (Duplicating other content, e.g. the whole Wikipedia, would be OK, because they have a friendly license.)
