This is a little subjective post.
Is there a de-facto standard for linking IPFS websites?Should I use gateway.ipfs.io, ipfs.io, or 127.0.0.1:8080 on my site when linking IPFS content? Or something else?
You should be using 127.0.0.1:8080 probably as the idea is to have it super decentralised... but you could use a gateway (check the list: https://discuss.ipfs.io/t/curated-list-of-ipfs-gateways/620/21 ) and then hope that the client implement a plugin that rewrites IPFS addresses to localhost.
I prefer 127.0.0.1:8080, or even better: your very own gateway
Currently browser extensions redirect anything that has path starting with /ipfs to local gateway, so you can use any working one.I'm using personal gateway which hosts only my content in links.
