Isn't it already possible to make censorship-resistant websites?

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn’t it already possible to make censorship-resistant websites and distribute the contents? We can circumvent the central entity such as ISPs and server hosting companies simply by choosing not to use the domain name and hosting a server on our own.

How is that censorship resistant? If someone wants to block your website or service it’s not really any more difficult to block your server than it is to block it on a hosting provider.

In IPFS you’d need to take down every node with a piece of content you’re trying to censor in order to make something unavailable at its original location.
