I was wondering if anyone has setup an HTTP proxy that uses DNSLink. There are a lot of different uses for proxying with IPFS but I’m basically looking for something that does what the Firefox Companion plugin does but in a proxy so I can point to the proxy rather than use the plugin and support other apps that use http like wget or curl.
Someone liked this so I got a notification and it was like a blast from the past. It’s a great reminder that everyone is new to a subject at time time and two years ago that person was me so please be kind to newcomers, they’ll get there eventually.
I’ll respond to my two year old self. “There sure is. They’re called IPFS gateways and there is one setup by default on localhost. It will proxy http connections to IPFS so you can use anything that speaks http to retrieve content from IPFS and they support DNSLink”
