How much bandwidth savings can IPFS offer?

Hi! The homepage [1] section about “Why” says:

With video delivery, a P2P approach could save 60% in bandwidth costs.

But it links to a paper from 2009, long before IPFS existed.

Is there newer research that you know of? More relevant research?

Has anyone done contemporary tests or research like this?

Or does anyone have a model for estimating, or a harness for measuring bandwidth use over IPFS for different permutations of file size, network environments, etc?
